The Milk-Agro store in Družstevná pri Hornáde repeatedly wins the competition for the best Milk-Agro store in the region. But if you wanted to shop there in March, you found it closed. From March 8 to April 9, 2019, a planned reconstruction took place here. We asked the store representative, Mrs. Milena Korbová, several questions...
What is the most visible change after the reconstruction?
Wider aisles. We have won the best store competition several times, which means many people shop here. The space that was sufficient at the beginning had become very cramped. Especially the aisles between shelves were narrow; mothers with strollers had a difficult time shopping. Now the aisles are sufficient, even a stroller can pass with a shopping basket. Shopping is more comfortable and pleasant thanks to this.
Was this achieved just by "rearranging" the space?
No, the total area was increased; we added a new part to the building. This allowed us to add display cases for dairy products and vegetables. Our dairy products got more space, we expanded their offer, which customers appreciated the most. The new, more spacious display cases allow more customers to choose from them without limiting each other.
At the store entrance, pleasant scents tickled our noses...
Yes, at the entrance we have an oil scent diffuser, which contributes to the overall pleasant atmosphere in the store. But a much stronger scent comes from the bakery. We established a baking area, which customers are very happy about because many prefer warm, fragrant products.

...yes, also organizational and planning work, but we are happy because the customers are happy. We know our customers well, which is an advantage of a well-coordinated, long-term stable team. We know when trains and buses arrive, when most people come, and what they want to buy. So we can estimate when to prepare the bakery products so that people can take them warm, fragrant, freshly baked.

The heat from the refrigerated display cases was previously released outside; now it is used for heating, which is our small contribution to ecology... I believe all this will keep our customers satisfied and attract new ones...
