FOR GNOCCHI:
500 g cooked potatoes
150 g plain flour
1 pc egg
pinch of salt
FOR CHEESE SAUCE:
200 g Sabik chilli processed cheese
200 ml SABI cooking cream
2 cloves garlic
150 g fresh baby spinach
1 tbsp SABI butter
salt and black pepper to taste
Procedure
1. Mash the cooked potatoes into a smooth puree. Add the egg, pinch of salt, and gradually add flour until a soft but non-sticky dough forms. Divide the dough into smaller parts, shape into long rolls, and cut into smaller pieces (about 2 cm long). Cook the gnocchi in salted water until they float to the surface (2–3 minutes), then remove and set aside.
2. Melt butter in a pan and sauté crushed garlic until golden. Add fresh baby spinach and briefly steam it. Add processed cheese to the pan along with the cream and stir until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
3. Add the prepared gnocchi to the cheese and spinach sauce and gently mix to coat thoroughly. Before serving, you can sprinkle grated Volovec cheese on top.
Our tip: For extra creamy flavor, you can add 50 g grated Sabinovská Tehla cheese to the sauce.
