Not all cream is the same. SABI cream is made from strictly controlled Slovak milk. MILK-AGRO offers real cream for cooking and coffee. We talked about this with Ing. Peter Kočiš, head of dairy production in Sabinov.
What would you say about SABI cream to customers?
Our company offers 12-percent cream. People buy it for cooking, but few knew it is almost ideal for coffee. Therefore, we decided to highlight this directly on the cream packaging. This means that whoever buys our cream for coffee will get their favorite and time-tested cream, which they did not realize is also suitable for coffee.
It comes in a 200-gram package...
Yes, it is more than what we put in one coffee, so we came up with a so-called "drinking" cap, which is a common name for a resealable cap. We want to save customers money, and with smaller packaging, the customer would pay more for the packaging compared to the content than with a larger package. Therefore, we chose the 200-gram package, where the ratio of packaging price to content is more favorable. And what is not used for coffee can be used as before – for cooking. The resealable cap, if used correctly, keeps the liquid even if accidentally tipped over. We have tested it; it does not spill. However, after opening, we recommend consuming it as soon as possible because in the refrigerator, like any fat, it tends to absorb various odors and loses its original typical taste.
What makes it really taste good?
Our 12-percent cream is pasteurized and homogenized. Homogenization is a purely mechanical process where fat is broken into smaller particles under high pressure, which helps it disperse better in coffee and makes it easier to digest. Its excellent taste is mainly due to being completely fresh. It is a one-day cream that we immediately process and ship. We do not add any chemicals or preservatives, so its shelf life is a maximum of 10 days. But those who like it do not store it.
