Monika's Gingerbread

0.5 kg plain flour T650
190 g powdered sugar
125 g SABI butter
125 g honey
3 eggs
1.5 teaspoons gingerbread spice
1 teaspoon baking soda
Egg for brushing after baking


Procedure

Mix all ingredients together. It takes a bit longer to knead a good dough. Put it in a plastic bag and refrigerate for at least 24 hours, longer is fine. At least 1 hour before baking, take out and gradually take as much dough as needed to roll out. Roll dough to about 5 mm thickness. Cut shapes with cookie cutters. Place cut gingerbreads on a greased baking sheet and bake at 180 °C for about 5 minutes until golden. Brush hot gingerbreads with beaten egg and let rest. We hope they turn out well and taste great.
