900 g plain flour
400 ml SABI sour cream
500 g SABI butter
1 tsp salt
to taste plum jam + granulated sugar
mixture of vanilla and powdered sugar for coating
beaten egg for brushing
Procedure
1. Sift the flour into a large bowl, add salt, softened SABI butter, and SABI sour cream.
2. Knead a smooth dough by hand, wrap it in cling film, and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
3. Roll the dough out to 3 mm thickness and cut into elongated triangles.
4. Place a portion of filling (1 tbsp plum jam mixed with granulated sugar) on the wider end, brush the thinner end with beaten egg. Finally, roll the triangle from the wider part with the filling and gently press the ends to prevent the jam from leaking.
5. Place the finished crescents on a baking tray lined with baking paper, prick them with a fork, and brush with beaten egg.
6. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes. After baking, coat the hot crescents in the sugar mixture.
