250 g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 pinch salt
200 g granulated sugar
200 g butter SABI
2 pcs eggs
Procedure
1. Grease a 22 cm cake pan with a little butter, dust with plain flour, and preheat oven to 175°C.
2. Sift flour, baking powder, salt into a bowl, add sugar, and mix with a whisk.
3. Add melted butter to dry ingredients and knead dough by hand, adding one whole egg while kneading. Knead into a smooth dough ball.
4. Transfer dough to the pan and press with your palm from the center to edges in a circle. Create patterns on the surface with a fork and brush with beaten egg (second egg).
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 30 minutes. During baking, the cake will rise, which is not desirable, so press it gently with the back of a spoon after 15 minutes and again 5 minutes before finishing.
6. Let the butter cake cool completely in the pan, then carefully remove and slice.
