300 g granulated sugar

250 g plain flour
1 pc baking powder
40 g cocoa powder
300 g grated apples

150 g dark chocolate (54%)
150 ml whipping cream SABI
Procedure
Apple Cake aka Sacher Cake
1. First, prepare the base. Whisk eggs, sugar, and butter. Add flour sifted with baking powder and cocoa. Finally, fold in grated apples.
2. Grease a 24 cm diameter pan with butter, dust with flour, and pour in the batter.
3. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 45 to 50 minutes. Test with a skewer; if sticky at the bottom, bake longer.
4. Let the baked base cool. Cut off the domed top and slice the base horizontally into two equal parts. Spread jam thickly on the bottom part, place the other part on top, and spread a smaller amount of jam on the top.
5. Pour chocolate icing over the whole cake and sides. To prepare icing, heat cream to 75°C, pour over broken chocolate pieces, and stir until glossy.
Note! Use chocolate with higher cocoa content for specific flavor. Cooking chocolate is not flavorful enough.
6. Refrigerate the cake and slice after icing sets.
