DOUGH:
350 g plain flour
25 g fresh yeast
½ tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
200 ml warm milk
3 tbsp olive oil
FILLING:
3 pcs eggs
250 ml SABI sour cream
1 fresh onion
200 g ham
400 g Sabinovská Tehla 45 %
1 tsp dried thyme
Salt, pepper
Procedure
- First, prepare everything for the leavened dough. Mix yeast with sugar and a few tablespoons of warm milk. Stir until sugar dissolves, let rest for 5 minutes. Sift flour into a large bowl, make a hole in the center and pour in the yeast. Sprinkle salt around the edges so it doesn't touch the yeast. Start kneading. Add the rest of the warm milk and later the olive oil. The dough is ready when it no longer sticks to your hand. Cover with cling film and let rest in a warm place.
- Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Cut ham into cubes and coarsely grate Sabinovská Tehla. Clean and finely chop the onion. In a bowl, mix eggs with sour cream. Add ham, cheese, onion and mix. Add salt, pepper and thyme.
- Roll out the leavened dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangular shape about 25×35 cm (depending on the baking tray). Transfer dough to a baking tray lined with baking paper and pour the cheese-ham mixture on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven (180 °C) for 40 minutes or until the pie is golden brown.
- Let cool before slicing.
