250 ml SABI whipping cream
100 ml SABI milk
80 g melted SABI butter
200 g wheat semolina
180 g plain flour
150 g sugar
1 pc baking powder
a pinch of salt
3 pcs eggs
1 pc vanilla sugar
orange zest
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 175 °C (top/bottom heat) and line a cake pan with baking paper.
2. In a bowl, mix semolina, flour, sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, add whipping cream, milk, melted butter, vanilla sugar, and grated orange zest.
4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until combined. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes to allow the semolina to absorb moisture.
5. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 35–45 minutes until the surface is baked and a skewer comes out dry.
6. Let the baked cake rest in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely. Cut into triangular slices and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
