Sour Soup with Smoked Meat

300 g smoked meat
5 whole black peppercorns
2 bay leaves
100 ml sauerkraut juice
200 ml SABI whole milk 3.5%
1 tbsp plain flour
4 eggs
sugar
dill or chives
salt


Procedure

Place the washed smoked meat in cold water, season, add bay leaves, and cook gently until almost tender.


Add sauerkraut juice and cook until tender. Remove the meat and thicken the broth with flour mixed in milk.


If you dare, crack eggs one by one into the soup and cook for another 5 minutes. If you do not stir the soup, you will get poached eggs. If you are not confident, cook the eggs separately and serve sliced or grated with the soup.
