Baked Baguettes with Meatballs

300 g ground beef
2 pcs garlic cloves
2 pcs smaller onions
1 pc egg
1 can peeled tomatoes
granulated sugar
3 tbsp breadcrumbs
ground black pepper, salt
1 tbsp olive oil
fresh basil or parsley
Sabinovska Tehla 30% Slices
fresh baguettes


Procedure

1. Put the ground meat into a bowl and add 1 crushed garlic clove, 1 finely chopped onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and ground black pepper to taste.

2. Knead the meat mixture by hand and form smaller balls. Place the balls on a baking tray lined with baking paper, drizzle with oil, and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 30 minutes.

3. In a pan, sauté finely chopped onion in oil, add crushed garlic clove and fry briefly. Finally, add canned tomatoes and mix everything together. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar and cook until thickened, about 15 minutes. After removing from heat, stir in chopped basil or parsley.

4. Slice the baguettes lengthwise, open them, spread tomato sauce on one side. On the other side, place slices of Sabinovska Tehla 30% and put meatballs in the middle. Place the filled baguettes on a tray and bake under the grill function for about 10 minutes.

5. Serve with fresh vegetable salad.
