Cheese-Ham Trees

Ingredients

1 package puff pastry
100 g ham
200 g Volovec Premium Chilli cheese
1 pc egg for brushing
sesame, flax seeds, or coarse salt

Procedure

1. Stretch (or roll) the puff pastry and cut into 2 cm wide strips.

2. Cut ham into strips and grate Volovec cheese.

3. Place ham and cheese on the pastry strips. Cover with another strip of dough and fold like an accordion, wider at one end and narrower at the other, forming a triangle or tree shape.

4. Pierce the dough through with a wooden skewer and brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle trees with sesame, flax seeds, or coarse salt.

5. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C until golden. After baking, decorate trees with a star cut from cheese.
