Stuffed Lokše

  • 500 g plain flour
  • salt
  • 130 g spreadable curd cheese SABI
  • 450 ml acidophilus milk SABI
  • 10-15 g baking soda
  • 150 g lard
  • 120 g onion
  • 500 g sauerkraut
  • 100 g smoked bacon
  • 1.5 dl oil for frying

Procedure

Sift flour into a bowl, add salt, baking soda, curd cheese, acidophilus milk, and knead a thinner dough. Sauté finely chopped onion in lard, add bacon and fry. Finally, add chopped sauerkraut, stew and let cool. Roll dough to about 5 mm thickness and cut circles with a glass. Spread sauerkraut on one lokša, cover with another, and seal edges. Fry stuffed lokše in hot oil at low temperature on both sides until golden.
