The Slovak Dairy Association draws attention to the still problematic overall consumption of milk and dairy products, which remains low compared to the recommended dose of 220 kg per person per year but is slowly increasing. In 2011 it was 154 kg, but by 2017 we reached 174 kg per person.
However, it should not be forgotten that milk and dairy products represent one of the most important and irreplaceable components of a complete human diet. For this reason, the International Dairy Federation (IDF) designated the third Tuesday in May as International Milk Day. The goal is to highlight and emphasize the biologically significant content, exceptional nutritional properties, and to inspire people to include milk as a daily part of life.
So, how many liters of milk have you drunk today?
