Not all bricks are the same

Many imagine a brick as a hard block intended for construction. However, Sabinovská TEHLA is something completely different. This TEHLA has the shape of a block and is even hard, but unlike the red brick, our SABI TEHLA is also extremely tasty and healthy.

Sabinovská TEHLA is an Edam cheese of the SABI brand. And what is Edam? It is a semi-hard pressed cheese with a natural rind, also known for its red semi-permeable foil, which allows the cheese to mature. The rind of this cheese is very thin and beautifully yellow. The cheese itself is semi-hard but also elastic and has a milky yellowish color.

We introduced our SABI TEHLA to the market back in 2009, and since then customers have praised it highly. Sabinovská TEHLA is a tasty and sought-after cheese, so we are glad to produce it and satisfy the taste buds of our customers,” said deputy director Mgr. Matej Bálint.

Sabinovská TEHLA 45% suitably complements the SABI product range with a wide range of uses in both cold and warm cuisine. These cheeses are made by enzymatic coagulation of milk using rennet and then mature for a long time under optimal conditions in Sabinov warehouses.

This Edam type cheese of Dutch origin is made with low-heated curd. Its maturation takes place over a long time in ripening packaging under controlled temperature and humidity conditions. Due to its composition, it is a rich source of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and minerals, especially calcium. We must not forget that it contains special live dairy cultures,” said production specialist Ing. Peter Kočiš.

The uniqueness of this SABI cheese is conditioned by the use of first-class selected milk, so MILK-AGRO uses only milk from verified Slovak dairy farmers. The milk undergoes strict control to ensure it is not contaminated by harmful substances. It is then processed according to traditional recipes, and the final product is introduced to the market in originally produced pieces - Loaf, Block, and Slices.

So not all bricks are the same, because SABI TEHLA is tasty and healthy, and unlike a classic brick, this delicacy will also satisfy you.
