MILK-AGRO supports Slovak dairy farmers and food entrepreneurs for over 30 years

MILK-AGRO has supported the Slovak food market for over 30 years. It purchases over 25 million liters of milk annually from Slovak dairy farms, from which it produces popular and quality SABI dairy products. The company also offers approximately 4,631 types of Slovak goods, representing over 68% of its total product range. The company's priority is to supply customers with quality Slovak products, helping Slovak farmers and entrepreneurs survive even in this difficult pandemic situation.

The Slovak food company MILK-AGRO has been operating on the Slovak market since 1991, expanding over the decades throughout eastern Slovakia and gradually expanding to central and western Slovakia. The company is unique mainly due to its wide range of dairy products under its own SABI brand. For the production of SABI products, it uses only milk from Slovak farmers, purchasing over 25 million liters of milk annually.

We collect milk daily in special tankers to our Sabinov dairy plant. Our average daily milk purchase from Slovak farmers is over 70,000 liters. The quality of the milk is checked by our production specialists, and then a specific SABI product is made from it. We closely cooperate with about 20 dairy farms in producing SABI products. Thanks to this, even the smallest farmers have the assurance that their milk will be purchased and will reach the kitchen table of Slovak families within 48 hours,” said deputy production manager Mr. MVDr. Marek Kunda.

Besides SABI dairy products, MILK-AGRO stores also offer bakery products from local small bakers and various other products such as cakes and pastries. The company management prefers small suppliers from different parts of Slovakia, recognizing their quality and importance in preserving our traditional Slovak recipes.

Our company has supported Slovak milk producers and food manufacturers for over three decades. This is one of the main corporate principles we have adhered to since our inception. Even in this difficult situation, we help small Slovak dairies and suppliers who could not fully sell their products or supply hotels and restaurants due to the pandemic. For us, social responsibility is an unconditional part of our corporate philosophy. We will continue to extend a helping hand to small Slovak suppliers and farmers,” said Mgr. Matej Bálint, company deputy director.

It should not be forgotten that the crisis associated with the global coronavirus pandemic has negatively affected almost all businesses in Slovakia. Many entrepreneurs in the food industry are among those at risk. MILK-AGRO supports Slovak farmers and small producers, employing people in the regions for decades, including the last two years. Only this way can we withstand foreign competition and preserve our traditional Slovak recipes.
